I am not a boring person

Description

Like many ace Sherlock fans Bill and I were unimpressed with the recent Steven Moffat interview about Sherlock's orientation and subsequent twitter response to irritated fan tweets. Asexuality (and aromanticism in Bill's case) being 'boring' as a character trait is a crappy misconception.

I decided to make a comic out of it and it took me FOR-SMEGGING-EVER but oh well. It was interesting to try to draw lots of Bill. I think I've got his horns down now, which is good because they're a pain in the arse. Sam's are still annoying though.

Also I got a new laptop and the screen is a tablet but I still haven't got my pen pressure working in photoshop so I'm scribbling in paint, hence the high quality arts there >>

Our narrative potential should not be defined by our sexuality (or lack thereof). Story arcs can be exciting however you construct your relationships. Your value as an interesting individual is not defined by what forms of attraction you experience.

So adorable! Yeah, I thought Moffat's comment about how Sherlock being ace would be boring upsetting and offensive. It just shows how obsessed with sex our culture is if someone's interest in sex and sexual attraction determines how interesting they are. "I love my friends, it's not sexual or romantic but that doesn't matter, the platonic connections we make are just as important, just as interesting" Clap

So true, platonic love is very important.
